Visit of provincial councillor Markus Achleitner

Based on talks with the Upper Austrian Governor Stelzer in the first half of 2020, the interest of Markus Achleitner, provincial councillor in economy and energy, in our company and future developments was awakened.

He and his team, among others, Michaela Langer-Weninger and Elisabeth Kölblinger, members of the provincial assembly, visited RAG Austria AG on 10th July. During a district day in Vöcklabruck focused on energy, the research storage facility in Pilsbach as well as the gas storage facility and the dispatching center in Puchkirchen were visited.

At the beginning, the "Underground Sun Conversion" project was presented during a tour of the Pilsbach research storage facility.

Provincial councillor Achleitner was visibly impressed: "How do we store renewable energy from the sun and wind? This is one of the big questions of the future of energy, and here in Pilsbach, research is being carried out on this together with the Energy Institute of the Johannes Kepler University of Linz".

Afterwards the tour continued to Gampern, where the Puchkirchen storage facility and the dispatching center were visited.
