The funding agreement concluded between the research consortium and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency/Climate and Energy Fund laid the groundwork for the Underground Sun Conversion project.
The project was developed on RAG’s initiative in collaboration with partners and submitted for funding as a lead project within the scope of the Climate and Energy Fund’s energy research programme. The project was presented to and evaluated by an expert panel, which recommended it for funding and then made an offer of funding to the consortium. This formed the basis for conclusion of the agreement.
