Vienna/Upper Austria, 14 October, 2021
After several online meetings, on October 13 and 14 all Swiss project partners visited the facilities of RAG in Upper Austria for the first time as part of a "USC-FlexStore Project Workshop" and for a joint exchange in Vienna.
We started on Wednesday with a guided tour of the storage facility in Puchkirchen. The tour then continued to Pilsbach, where the facility, which is the focus of the research project, was showed. At this point we would like to thank the presenters for the interesting guided tours!
After the site visit in Upper Austria, we continued on to Vienna, where we met more colleagues for a pleasant evening get-together and exchange of ideas at the Gastwirtschaft Huth.
The next day opened with a Steering Committee in the press room in Vienna. Afterwards there were updates and presentations about the progress of the individual Working Packages and partly there were already interesting discussions. In the following "Breakout Sessions" there was also the possibility to exchange detailed information on specific topics in smaller groups.
We can look back on an all-around successful event with many interesting impressions and insights. We hope that in the course of the project such personal and real meetings will also be possible in the future. Because in addition to the regular online meetings, everyone agreed that the personal exchange is particularly beneficial.
